I Should've Been A Cowgirl

Yesterday, AJ and I accompanied a friend to the Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth. (Yes, it's a real thing.) It was SO cool! Truth be told, I am a sucker for the old west. This is one of my favorite movies of all time:

I'm pretty good with a gun, if I do say so myself:

And there's just something about those old classic country songs.

Now if only I could get my hands on something like this, you'd all be in for a real treat...

The kids had a blast too:

Who would have thought that learning about cowgirls could be so entertaining!:

And since a still pic of AJ riding a horse is clearly not enough, take a gander at this little gem, compliments of the Cowgirl Hall of Fame Museum:

Definitely a day well spent! Thanks Lisa!

I'm not anywhere close to being a cowgirl, but I do like some westerns. Especially Tombstone.

Your daughter is adorable! She looks just like you.

My sister was a total cowgirl... rodeo princess, 7 day cattle herd, wranglers & colored boots. My mom was afraid she would start chewing tobacco ( I did have an aunt that always had a "cha" in)...but she overcame and married a motorcycle racer so she hung up the wranglers for good. I was always too allergic to horses to even look at one. too bad!
