I'm Wishing

Some pics from last week, enjoying a sprinkled cookie and throwing pennies into the fountain at Southlake Town Square. It was such a lovely afternoon and PERFECT weather. Heaven will be full of days like this.

Flowers Make Me Happy

These were on special at Central Market the other day, so I treated myself to some flowers. When I walk by them, I smell them and admire their beauty. They add a spot of happiness to my day each time I walk through the kitchen. They just look so cheery. Seriously, how can you have these in you house and not be in a good mood?!

I Have The Cutest...

New Showercap! Isn't it fab?!

Memorial Day

We had a fantastic day at Lake Ray Roberts with my friend Laurie and her family.

AJ was ready to go from the minute we got up.

Once we got there, we couldn't get her out of the lake.

Thanks Laurie & Jason, for a great holiday!

Happy Tunesday: Rosie Thomas

This album's a few years old, but still beautiful - very calming. Plus it features a couple good cover songs, and y'all know I like me a good cover. Enjoy.

I Love This Stuff!

I am a chapstick girl. Addicted you might say. Not a big fan of lipstick or gloss. But I realize beauty requires a little something. These are OK,

but I found something better. Enter Chapstick True Shimmer. I get my chapstick fix, with a little color and sparkle. And it tastes good. And staying true to my cosmetic classiness, it's under $3.

Happy Tunesday: William Fitzsimmons

I love this new album. It's perfect for having on in the background when the weather is beautiful and you can have your windows open. It's a lovely week!

Disneyworld Rocks!

We just got back from a 10-day Disneyworld vacation. I have always been a Disney junkie, but this was our first trip with A.J. and a TOTALLY different experience. Dare I say, even better with her. There was a whole new level of magic. What a FANTASTIC vacation - it was truly all we could have hoped for. The months of saving and hours of planning totally payed off. We are already anxious to plan our next vacation. But as always, it is great to be home.

We were there on my birthday, which turned out great. Because this year Disney's promo is "get in free on your birthday" and we had already paid for our tickets, they gave me a $75 gift card, good to spend at any of the parks. Pretty generous, I thought. (That ALMOST payed for AJ's princess outfit - maybe not so generous after all...) But what I loved even more ('cuz I'm cheesy like that) is the Happy Birthday button they gave me to wear. Everyone that saw me wished me happy birthday. I realize that Disney employees are required to do that, but I chose to think that they were my friends and really wanted me to have a great day. I bet over a hundred people wished me happy birthday, and I have to say, it felt pretty darn good. By the end of the day, I was glowing. I realize this is childish, but you can be a child in Disneyworld - that's the beauty (especially on the day I turned a year older).
