It Starts Today

Tip Junkie turned 1 year old and to celebrate, Laurie (who is apparently a glutton for punishment) has put together 24 giveaways. You must go everyday to enter and you must have the giveaway button on your blog. Good luck - or bad luck, that means better chances for me. He he he (evil laugh).

Having A Ball

Jim Rome says bowling is not a sport. Anything you get better at the drunker you are, is not a sport. So in the name of good fun, last night we got together with a group of friends for pizza and sober bowling. Good times!

The Hot Wives Club.

True sibling rivalry never dies!

The guys took their game very seriously.

The "L's" (Lisa, Leslie, Laurie & Lisa)

A tribute to my rockin' husband - who bowled a 212!!!

The closest I (or Craig) will ever get to Pamela Anderson.

And of course, we probably did more picture taking for our blogs, than actual bowling.

Really - no alcohol involved. We can actually get this loopy on Diet Coke. How rad are we?!

Craig - Look away NOW!

The past few days, I've had a serious itch for something new. And just my luck - Anthro emailed me a sale this morning. I really love online shopping. From the comfort of my computer, in my pajamas, I picked up these little beauties:

And Craig - since I know you read this even though I told you not to, I want you to know I exercised EXTREME restraint - as I had 5 items in my shopping cart originally. And I'll have dinner ready when you come home. :)

Busy Bee

So I suck at blogging, but I have been busy. I've been working on a few projects, most of which are still in the works, but here are a few things I've finished.

I got an oh-so-fab bookmark from my friend's birthday party last year and have absolutely LOVED it. So I decided to spread the love and make one for a friend and one as part of a swap. And since I had plenty of leftover supplies, I made a few extras and threw them in my Etsy store. I figured, what the heck?!

And while I was browsing the bead section at the craft store, I felt inspired to make a necklace - this is what I came up with. I also listed this in my Etsy store, but unless it sells right away, I have a good mind to keep it for myself. It really goes nice with my bird fetish.

Say what?!

AJ has had quite a few "vocab mishaps" lately. I do have them written down on a paper, later to be transfered to her scrapbook (supposedly). But I know I will lose the paper before that happens, so now I am blogging them to make them permanent. I am a ROCKIN' mom!

Dizzy = Busy. As in "Whoa - I'm gettin' busy!"

Yesterday = Lasterday

Balloon = Umbloon

Sunscreen = Some scream

Drain = Dream

Goggles = Gobbles

And my most recent fav:

She brought this in the house the other day.

AJ: Mom, look wht I got!
Me: Wow, that's cool!
AJ: Feel how soft it is.
Me: That is soft. And it's taller than you! Do you know what it's called?
AJ: A wussy pillow.

She also insists on making her own mac n' cheese. Who is this kid?!

Happy Tunesday: Don't Quit Your Day Job

Here is a playlist of actors turned "singers". With the exception of a couple, they are painfully bad.

Falling Down by Scarlett Johansson
Don't You Cry by Steven Seagal
One Good Year by Russel Crowe (his album is actually OK)
Broken by Robert Downy Jr.
Deeper Water by Minnie Driver (I like her voice)
She's Like The Wind by Patrick Swayze
Party All The Time by Eddie Murphy
Cruisin' by Gwyneth Paltrow
Youngblood by Bruce Willis
What If by Kate Winslet (like her voice too)
Angelina by Billy Bob Thornton (ha ha)
Wanted For Love by Scott Baio (He may take the cake. Plus, his album cover is a total knock-off of Thriller. Ha ha!)

Blogiversary

Today is my one-year blog anniversary. Time flies. So I thought it was time for a fresh look. I'm going to make-over my blog. It may take a week or so to get everything updated.

Picnik

A while back, I got this great tip from Joy's Hope (a fabulous blog). Picnik is a totally free photoshop website, much easier (I think) to use than real photoshop. It's obviously a little more limited, but it's super easy to adjust the colors and such of your photos. And I love being able to add text to photos. So here's a little about me, using the fun from Picnik - thanks Joy, for the inspiration.

Favorite Things Swap

kellysswap

According to Kelly is having a fun Summer swap. Check it out here and join in the fun - I already have. Wahoo!

**UPDATE** I posted this the day AFTER the dealine for sign-ups. Obviously, I am EXTREMELY intelligent. Sorry.

The Other Boleyn Girl

I finally read it and I LOVED it. Even though you know how it's going to end, it was a total page turner. I specifically didn't see the movie because I wanted to read the book first. And the movie comes out next week - YAY! And I'm only #66 on the library wait list. Which means I should be able to check it out by this time next year. (Or I could not be such a ridiculous cheap-o and drop the whole $1 fee at Redbox.) Will I or won't I?...stay tuned.

LUCY...

Apparantly, I've got some 'splaining to do.

A reliable source tells me that some of my blog readers have taken some recent posts the wrong way and assumed I'm pregnant. I posted AJ's comments about her "brother" because I'm NOT pregnant and thought it was funny. As far as all the food cravings, I just have a food problem. Has nothing to do with pregnancy. Me likes my food - that's all. So again, just confirming - I'M NOT PREGNANT! If you'd like, you can confirm it with my good friend Midol. We've been spending some quality time together.
