Happy Tunesday - Two-Faced

Tanja posted about this song yesterday. I HATE it and I LOVE it. I want to hate it - I think it's horrible, but it's one of those catchy, stay-in-your-head ALL NIGHT songs. So I tell myself, "I'm a grown-up (sort of) and I can listen to what I want. But AJ will never hear this one." I realize this makes me the most hypocritical mom in the world, but again - grown-up (ha ha, feeling totally vindicated.) And it got me to thinking: What are some other songs I have on my iPod that I jam to but my kids will never hear? Here's my playlist of sin:

I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry
SexyBack by Justin Timberlake
Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani
London Bridge by Fergie
Naughty Girl by Beyonce
Candyman by Christina Aguilera
Cherry Pie by Warrant
Cream by Prince

What's your favorite dirty song?

You're cracking me up! I think I have most of those songs on my i-pod also! Isn't that bad?

The way I see it...is that we are adults and I still would NEVER let my boys listen to ANY of that stuff when with me or while I can still prevent it. However, I will bust out those tunes while running on the treadmill with my headphones on or in the car driving alone.

haha!!! This is hilarious because I have music in my car with some songs that I won't let the kids hear! I always feel so guilty, so your post made me laugh!

Okay so just about the only time I let myself listen to my "trashy music", as I call it, is at the gym where I need some serious motivation.

"shut up and drive"-Rhianna

"gimme more" kaskade remix-Britney Spears (I don't like her, but this remix is actually pretty good...there isn't any of that horrible Britney squeaking on this one.)

"faster kill pussycat"-Oakenfold (with Britany Murphy)

"firecracker"-Josh Turner (my kids have NO idea what this song is about...)

I should truly leave this as anonymous, but I love "get off" by prince. My husband won't even listen to it. SOS is only semi trashy but I love it. VooDoo is one of the hubbies fav's. And If I were a Rich Girl. I actually have a whole playlist. Ha ha.

I feel the same way about "I kissed a girl". However, when i overheard Davis singing it - I was ok with it. I'm secretly worried that one of my nonathletic boys will be gay. {{shhh}} so hearing him sing that song brought a smile to my face. Nothing like subliminal messages.
