Pathetic, but giddy nonetheless. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I get seriously over-excited when I find a great deal. Some women get excited over diamonds,
presents,
or even this:
and though I too enjoy a couple of these things (not saying which ones), nothing gets me wired like a successful shopping spree. My fingers are shaking with joy even as I'm typing this. Come and bask in the glory of my meager spending:
I got this:
to go here,
Old urn, new flowers:
New centerpiece for the table:
It looked a little unfinished, so I added tule and ribbon.
New wreath for the front door:
I'm ashamed to say it's been bare since the Christmas one came down. The wreath was also looking a little unfinished, so I added the butterfly. I wish the wreath was bigger, but it will do for now. I love how springy it looks. I realize it's only Feb., but I've got Spring Fever early this year. BAD!
And speaking of Spring, this vase is just screaming for a bouquet of wild flowers, is it not?
And the grand total? Hold on to your hats folks... $30. SHAZAM! Unbelievable, even for me. But wait it gets better!
My printer died (RIP you old hunk of crap!) and a while back, Aby posted about how much she loved her new printer. After doing some research, I found she's not the only one. This printer seems great. So I shopped around in-store and on ebay. It retails for $150.
I'll spare you the long boring details, but I ended up buying it at buy.com, brand new, for $89.99 and FREE SHIPPING! Then I got $10 off because I was a new customer. Then they offered a $70 rebate. When all was said and done, I got my fab new $150 printer for a cool $20. BOO-YA! Who needs weed?! Right now I'm high as a kite!
*UPDATE* As Aurora pointed out, I so rudely excluded where I got my fab finds. The goods came from Norma Stone, and I must give this nod to Rochelle, who introduced me to that place when I moved down here a couple years ago. It's the perfect place for finding diamonds in the rough. Thanks again R!

Way to shop Chanda!! Thanks for all the advice on how to spruce it up to. I tell you I can use all the help I can get.
Awesome!! All your flowers look amazing. It's weird that I still haven't been to your house. What a steal on that printer - you go girl!
I don't think I mentioned my amazement about you getting your printer for 20 BUCKS, but I wanted to give you a pat on the back! And then steal it.

As happy as I am for you and your Norma Stone finds, I have to take indirect credit. So, yea for me! I'm the one who told Rochelle about Norma Stone. (I won't even tell you how long it took her to take my advice!) ;)
