Twilight Movie Review
Truth be told, after the midnight showing, followed by breakfast at IHOP and finally crashing into bed at 4:45am, I am way to wiped to write an actual review. Fotunately for me, Little Lovables said everything I was thinking. We even made the Edward Scissorhands/Jasper reference at the restaurant last night. So because I'm a hack and because I've had about 6 total hours of sleep in the past two nights, read her post here and you'll know my exact review. Thanks LL!

007
Or maybe I should say 008, because that's what I give this flick. Craig and I saw Quantum of Solace on Friday night. It rocked. Loved it. Not as much as Casino Royal, which I gave a hearty 00-10, but it was still great. Daniel Craig is far and away my favorite Bond, in a long line of favorites.
I guess it's meant to be - one way or another I'm going to be with a Craig.
Love you honey. You too Craig.
Crikey- a girl could really get confused around here!

Darn!
I have been determined to not talk politics on my blog - getting plenty of that in real life. However, since someday I will look back at this blog as a journal, and the election has been a huge part of my life the last few months, I need to at least mention it. Even AJ watched the election coverage with us last night. Why is it fo funny to me when a 3-year-old says "Did Barack Obama win?" Obviously I'm concerned about the future path of this country. I am thrilled that we have come to the place where we can elect a black president - I just wish he wasn't a socialist. And that's all I'm going to say about it. I think Bob Lonsberry said it right:
Barack Obama was not my choice, but he is my president. That is true of all Americans. For the last eight years, there has been an ongoing campaign of destruction meant to handicap and hobble the last president. I refuse to be part of an effort to do the same to the next president. Those who didn't vote for Barack Obama must set a higher standard of civility and citizenship than those who didn't vote for George W. Bush. In defeat, there must still be nobility.
The last eight years have taught us what happens when you set out to destroy a presidency for political gain. You help your candidate, but you hurt your country. That pattern must not be followed with this new president. America must treat Barack Obama better than he treated George W. Bush.
So I will do my best. What's done is done and I will be as American and dignified as I can and get behind our President. And I will remember a few truths that haven't changed.
I have the right to vote - at least my voice was heard.
I have the freedom of religion - the way my family and I worship our Heavenly Father will never change.
And among other things, inside the walls of my home, I am President. (Well, Craig too) and we decide all the legislations, love and values that are taught.
America - it's a beautiful thing.

C is for Crying
I am in distress - panic, you might say. The crumbling economy has finally touched home. No, Craig hasn't lost his job (knock on wood) and we haven't lost our home (knock again) but I learned that after over 90 years, Mother's cookies have ceased production. That's right folks, bankruptcy for my all time favorite treat-maker. You can read all about it here.
These are my favorite cookies in the WHOLE WORLD (or at least they WERE):
And these aren't bad either:
Better start stocking up people. I am. On cookies - and tissues. WAAAAAHHHHHH!
